The Commission régionale sur les ressources naturelles et le territoire public de l’Outaouais (CRRNTO) and Quebec’s Forest History Society (SHFQ) are proud to put online the first bilingual (English and French) multimedia website designed exclusively for secondary school teachers and students in the Outaouais.
You will discover a site rich in information and vividly illustrated by archival documents, photographs and multimedia. The site contains 58 capsules that have been carefully incorporated into the social studies program. The navigation of the site has been designed to help with the discovery of the history of forestry in the Outaouais.
Social studies teachers as well as math, geography or English teachers will find material that can be used to create learning activities as suits their needs. These activities can be uploaded to the site in order to create a bank of original activities that other teachers may search for and download.
We invite you to dive into the past and explore the rich history of our forest!
